Death Where is Your Sting

1 Corinthians 15:55-57

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

No matter how fast we run or how hard we pedal, we as sinners can never outrun or cheat death to the finish line. Without Christ and our merciful God, even the fastest fire-breathing hot rod will leave us hell-bound to answer for our transgressions. But, even death loses this race, as victory is His! Thanks be to God, who welcomes us into victory lane through our Lord Jesus Christ!
